Join Kyle for a 3 week series to lay the foundation for a safe and strong yoga practice to support you for years to come. Because group classes often move quickly, it's easy for misalignments to become habits and difficult to correct them later.  

Like a package of group private lessons, you'll learn the correct way to hold the classical postures of yoga, the correct way to breathe and how to connect the two to move fluidly.  Geared toward brand new beginners but also open to those who wish to go back to square one and set a stronger platform for the continuous development of their practice.  Students are asked to commit to all 3 sessions, but one can be traded in for a drop in class with Kyle on Saturdays at 11 AM within 1 month of the workshop end date.

This movement away from the self is an ever-widening canyon severing our natural capacity to generate ease, joy, understanding and connection. Ayurvedic Yoga Massage is a completely unique approach to bodywork. It combines deep tissue massage with coordinated breath-work and yoga stretching. Similar to Thai massage, Ayurvedic Yoga Massage is performed on a mat allowing for a full range of stretching. In addition; the deep tissue massage dissolves physical tension, while the assisted stretches and breath exercises realign the body and stimulate the natural flow of energy. 

During this workshop you will learn simple but deeply effective shoulders, neck and face massage that can be given to you partner or to students in savasana.

James Winstanley is the founder of the AYM Institute UK. James graduated with a degree in Massage Therapy from the prestigious Swedish Institute of Massage Therapy and Acupuncture in NYC in 2003 and later travelled to India where he studied with and went on to become assistant teacher to Master Kusum Modak the creator of Ayurvedic Yoga Massage. James received Kusum’s blessing to teach the AYM method and in 2010 James founded the AYM Institute with fellow AYM student Simon Griggs and taught the UK’s very first recognised AYM Diploma training. James was honoured to add his extensive medical knowledge to the AYM Diploma curriculum having studied western medical massage at degree level and worked with medical doctors, acupuncturists and chiropractors after graduation in NYC. Since then James has taught AYM around the world and continues to share the AYM Institute Diploma using the highest level of teaching and practice.

Yoga Nidra is a guided relaxation and meditation in savasana that allows your brain waves to slow enough to enter a dream state while remaining conscious. In this soft, mutable state, we are given the opportunity to rewire our thoughts and emotions using intentions and affirmations to help us live more harmoniously while awake.  The workshop begins with gentle breath work, Yin and restorative shapes to prepare the body for complete restoration.
